Family Portraits

...the "meredith sticks a camera in your face" kind of way. :) They love me, and I love them for putting up with me.

I call him ^ my model child (even though he is not my child, and he is 13 going on 35).

It makes me happy to capture these smiling memories.

Sledding

We own the hill everytime. :)

W-w-w-w-wipeout!

For our family, sledding always guarantees an injury. But we broke the curse this year! NO injuries...to date.

Christmas Day

This littly guy is my youngest cousin. He wrote the most thoughtful note to Santa Clause and was beyond excited to find he ate the cookies and replied to the note by the next morning! I always hope this innocent belief lasts as long as possible for kids now'a'days. They've had too many other things of their youth destroyed already by living in this century.

Much love, and merry Christmas! :)

Tall Winter Grass

Were in Michigan right now, if you haven't already figured out. It's a beatiful winter wonderland! We had a fun walk across the frozen Lake Michigan, especially by the tall grass.

Lurk

...and this is why I learned self-defense (and carry mase). LOOK OUT BOYS! ;)

This shot was taken on a walk by myself around West Palm and it just proved to me that there is always a creeper nearby. I never saw the man's face, only his shadow.

Palm Beach Marathon '08 -- GO MOM!

Oh, I am so lucky. This is my view from my balcony...perfect of the Palm Beach Marathon!

So my mom ran in the half marathon (woo woo!) and I had to hunt for her in the crowd. I heard this distant "Mereeeddiiithhh" "Mereediithhh" and then...AHA!...Mom! Flailing arms coming around the corner. Oh there she is! No doubt about it, that is my mom. :) And of course being her offspring I yelled back "GOOO MOMMM!" I'm pretty sure all the other runners were jealous. ;) (click on the picture to find the flailing arms)

There she is! Marathon Queen!

It was a glorious Saturday morning.

Red Poppy with a Hint of Purple

So this shot was taken in lovely Norwood, Mich. over the summer. To be completely honest, I initially did not think this shot was any good and thought it seemed very average. I recently found it and stuck it up as my desktop background. Little did I know this flower was incredible! It has just amazed me...the awsome hints of purple in some psychedelic patterns! Love. Enjoy this shot of God's crazy cool creation as much as I have. :)
